  • creator category;
  • social media handles;
  • follower counts;
  • audience information;
  • content categories;
  • professional interests;
  • portfolio information;

Collaboration and payment information

When you use TARANQ to collaborate, we collect information needed to run the collaboration, such as:

  • campaigns you create and applications or pitches you send;

  • messages in Collab Rooms;

Authorised TARANQ staff may access them only where needed to support the collaboration, resolve a dispute or meet a legal requirement; staff access to delivery addresses is logged.

Social Media Information

TARANQ allows users to connect supported third-party social media accounts.

Depending on the platform and permissions granted by you, this may include Instagram and Facebook.

When you choose to connect a social media account, TARANQ may receive information made available to us through the applicable platform's APIs and according to the permissions you authorize.

This may include, where available and permitted:

  • social media account identifier;
  • username or handle;
  • profile information;
  • profile picture;
  • follower or audience information;
  • posts and other media;
  • Reels or other supported content;
  • engagement information;
  • analytics and insights;
  • Page information; and
  • other information permitted by the applicable platform and the permissions you authorize.

Instagram

For Instagram accounts connected to TARANQ, we may use authorized Instagram APIs to retrieve information necessary to provide features such as:

  • displaying your Instagram profile information, such as your username, name, profile picture, biography and follower count;
  • displaying selected Instagram posts or Reels on your TARANQ profile;
  • showing you insights about your account, such as reach, views and total interactions for the last 28 days compared with the previous 28 days;
  • showing views on collaboration posts you published from your connected account; and
  • maintaining synchronization between your connected Instagram account and TARANQ.

TARANQ does not ask you for or store your Instagram password.

Facebook

Where supported, TARANQ may allow you to connect your Facebook account and/or eligible Facebook Page.

Depending on the permissions granted and information made available by Meta, TARANQ may retrieve information necessary to:

  • establish your Facebook account connection;
  • identify an eligible Page you manage;
  • display your selected Facebook presence;
  • retrieve available Page information, such as the Page name, picture, follower count and posts;
  • show you insights about your Page, such as unique viewers, Page visits and post engagement; and
  • provide other Facebook-related features you authorize.

TARANQ does not ask you for or store your Facebook password.

Insights and Daily Snapshots

Insights are only collected if you grant the relevant insights permission when you connect or reconnect Instagram or a Facebook Page. You can see the permissions you are granting on Meta's own consent screen.

When you grant it, TARANQ requests insights from Meta for the account or Page you connected and stores a daily snapshot, so that you can see how your account has changed over time. Snapshots are kept for up to 365 days and then deleted.

Insights are shown only to you. They are not shown on your public profile. Your follower count may be shown on your profile. Where you have accepted TARANQ's Collab Content Agreement for a collaboration, the business you collaborated with can see the views on the specific collaboration posts covered by that agreement. TARANQ staff may access insights only to provide support, maintain quality and keep the service secure.

TARANQ uses information obtained from Meta only to provide the features described in this Privacy Policy. We do not sell it to third parties, use it to target advertising, or share it with data brokers. It is shared only with the service providers that help us run TARANQ, as described in this Privacy Policy, or in a business transfer as described under "Business transfers", in each case subject to applicable law and Meta's platform terms.

If you remove the permission, disconnect the account, or your connection expires, TARANQ stops requesting new insights.

Information Collected Automatically

When you access TARANQ, we may automatically collect certain technical information, such as:

  • IP address;
  • browser type;
  • device type;
  • operating system;
  • approximate location derived from technical information;
  • pages or screens visited;
  • date and time of access;
  • referring website;
  • session information;
  • error logs; and
  • other technical information necessary for security and operation of the service.

We may use cookies and similar technologies to operate TARANQ, maintain sessions, remember preferences, understand usage, and improve the service.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

TARANQ may use:

  • essential cookies;
  • authentication/session cookies;
  • security cookies;
  • preference cookies;
  • analytics technologies; and
  • other technologies necessary to operate and improve the website.

Where required by applicable law, TARANQ will obtain appropriate consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of TARANQ.

Social Media Data: Important Limitations

When you connect a third-party account to TARANQ, TARANQ only accesses information made available through the applicable platform and the permissions you authorize.

TARANQ does not claim ownership of your third-party social media account.

Your use of Instagram, Facebook, or another third-party platform remains subject to that platform's own terms and privacy policies.

Third-party platforms may change or restrict the information available through their APIs. As a result, TARANQ may not always be able to retrieve or display information that was previously available.

Public Profile Information

Some information you choose to publish on TARANQ may be publicly visible.

Depending on the features you use, this may include:

  • name;
  • profile photograph;
  • username;
  • biography;
  • creator category;
  • social media handles;
  • selected social media content;
  • follower information;
  • portfolio information; and
  • other information you intentionally publish.

Insights and analytics from your connected accounts are not shown on your public profile. Your date of birth, contact details, addresses and payment details are never shown on your public profile.

Do not publish information on your public profile that you do not want other people to see.

How We Share Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. Personal information may be transferred as part of a business transfer, as described under "Business transfers" below.

We may share personal information in the following circumstances.

Service providers

We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate TARANQ, such as providers of:

  • cloud hosting;
  • databases;
  • authentication;
  • email delivery;
  • analytics;
  • security;
  • customer support;
  • payment processing; and
  • other technical infrastructure.

These providers may process information only as necessary to provide services to us and subject to appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.

Social media platforms

When you choose to connect an account, information may be exchanged with the relevant social media platform as necessary to provide the integration.

Other TARANQ users

Information that you intentionally publish as part of a public TARANQ profile may be visible to other users or visitors.

When you collaborate with another TARANQ user, information needed for that collaboration is shared with them inside the relevant Collab Room, such as the agreed terms, messages, submitted content, and, for barter collaborations, the delivery address or coupon details. Where you have accepted the Collab Content Agreement, the business can also see views on the collaboration posts covered by it.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law;
  • respond to lawful requests;
  • enforce our agreements;
  • protect TARANQ, our users, or the public; or
  • investigate fraud, security, or abuse.

Government and Public Authority Requests

TARANQ may receive requests from government authorities, law-enforcement agencies, courts, regulators, or other public authorities for information relating to users. Where appropriate, TARANQ reviews the authenticity, legal basis, jurisdiction, and scope of such requests before responding.

Where TARANQ is legally required or permitted to disclose information, TARANQ seeks to provide only the information necessary to satisfy the valid request and does not voluntarily disclose unrelated personal information. Where permitted by applicable law, TARANQ may seek clarification, narrowing, correction, or withdrawal of requests that are invalid, defective, or overly broad.

TARANQ may maintain records of government and public-authority requests, its assessment and response, and any information disclosed. Such records may be retained for legal, security, compliance, dispute-resolution, and accountability purposes, subject to applicable law and TARANQ's retention practices.

Where a request concerns information received from a connected third-party service, including Meta, TARANQ will also handle the information in accordance with applicable platform requirements and the permissions and terms governing the relevant integration.

Where legally permitted and appropriate, TARANQ may notify affected users of a government or public-authority request. TARANQ will not provide notice where prohibited by law or where doing so would create a legal or security risk.

Business transfers

If TARANQ is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers may process information in countries other than the country in which you reside.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, TARANQ will take reasonable steps to ensure that such transfers are handled in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to:

  • provide the TARANQ service;
  • maintain account records;
  • comply with legal obligations;
  • resolve disputes;
  • enforce agreements;
  • maintain security; and
  • prevent fraud or abuse.

When information is no longer reasonably required, we will delete, anonymize, or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable law and our internal retention procedures.

Some information may need to be retained for longer where required by law or where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Specific retention periods include:

  • daily insights snapshots from connected accounts: up to 365 days while your account is connected;
  • draft content files uploaded during a collaboration: usually deleted 90 days after the collaboration or file is closed, unless they are needed for longer for a dispute, a payment hold or a legal requirement;
  • notifications: usually deleted after 90 days;
  • copies of your data prepared at your request: available for 7 days, after which access ends and the copy is deleted; and
  • encrypted backups: kept for about 30 days, except that our most recent backup is always kept so that the Service can be restored.

Where the law requires or permits us to keep information for longer (for example under India's data protection, tax or other laws, or to resolve disputes), we keep it only for that period and only for that purpose, and then erase it.

Aggregated and Anonymized Information

After personal information is deleted or is no longer reasonably required for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, TARANQ may retain and use information that has been aggregated, anonymized, or otherwise de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual.

For example, TARANQ may retain an aggregate statistic representing the total number of users who have registered with TARANQ over the lifetime of the Service. Such aggregate statistics may be used for analytics, business planning, reporting, investor or partner communications, marketing, promotional materials, and public communications about TARANQ's growth or community.

TARANQ will not use such aggregate statistics to identify an individual or attempt to re-identify an individual from the anonymized or aggregated information.

This does not prevent TARANQ from retaining personal information where retention is otherwise permitted or required by applicable law, as described in this Privacy Policy.

Disconnecting Social Media Accounts

You may disconnect a supported social media account from TARANQ through the account controls made available to you or by contacting us.

After disconnection, TARANQ will stop accessing the connected account through the applicable integration, subject to technical limitations and any processing that is required or permitted by law.

When you disconnect Instagram or a Facebook Page in Social Connections, TARANQ immediately stops accessing that account and removes its imported posts, featured posts and insights from your TARANQ account and profile. If you remove TARANQ from your Facebook settings (Business Integrations), Meta notifies TARANQ and we do the same for the Facebook Page information we stored for you.

Removed information is then erased from our systems in line with the Data Retention section above: after any period for which we are required or permitted by law to keep it, and from backups when those backups expire.

Disconnecting an account does not necessarily delete information that you previously provided directly to TARANQ or information that must be retained for legitimate legal or security purposes.

You may separately request deletion of your TARANQ data as described below.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, including rights to:

  • request access to personal information we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • request deletion of personal information;
  • withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing;
  • request information about how your data is processed;
  • request restriction of certain processing where applicable;
  • object to certain processing where applicable; and
  • lodge a complaint with the appropriate data-protection authority.

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection framework, consent is required to be free, specific, informed, unconditional and unambiguous, and withdrawal should be as easy as giving consent where consent is the basis of processing.

To exercise applicable rights, contact:

info@taranq.com

We may need to verify your request before acting on it, using reasonable measures appropriate to the request.

Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your TARANQ account and personal information in the app, under Account & Privacy → Request account deletion, or through: https://www.taranq.com/privacy/meta-data-deletion

You can also request a copy of your data under Account & Privacy. TARANQ will prepare it and send it to the email address registered to your account.

or by contacting: info@taranq.com

When you request deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete the personal information covered by the request, subject to:

  • applicable legal requirements;
  • legitimate security requirements;
  • fraud prevention;
  • dispute resolution;
  • enforcement of agreements; and
  • information that we are otherwise legally permitted or required to retain.

Where deletion is not possible immediately, we will explain the applicable reason where required.

Social media data deletion

If you disconnect a social media account or request deletion of data obtained through a social media integration, TARANQ will process the request in accordance with applicable law and the requirements of the relevant platform.

Children's Privacy

TARANQ is only for people aged 18 or older. Business accounts must be created and managed by an adult who is authorised to act for the business. TARANQ is not intended for children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where such collection is prohibited by law.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to TARANQ improperly, please contact us at: info@taranq.com

We will take appropriate steps in accordance with applicable law.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, misuse, or destruction.

These measures may include:

  • encrypted transmission;
  • access controls;
  • authentication mechanisms;
  • secure infrastructure;
  • logging and monitoring;
  • token protection;
  • security reviews; and
  • appropriate employee or contractor access controls.

No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Third-Party Services and Links

TARANQ may contain links to third-party websites or integrate third-party services.

These third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

For example, when you connect Instagram or Facebook, your use of those services is also governed by the relevant policies and terms of Meta.

TARANQ is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services that it does not control.

Instagram and Facebook

TARANQ uses Meta's platform services to provide certain Instagram and Facebook integrations.

Information obtained through these integrations is used only for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and for functionality authorized by the user and permitted by the applicable platform policies.

TARANQ does not request or store your Instagram or Facebook password.

You may disconnect your social media account from TARANQ at any time through the available account controls or by contacting us.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to:

  • TARANQ's services;
  • technology;
  • legal requirements;
  • privacy practices; or
  • third-party integrations.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date.

Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before material changes take effect.

Complaints and Privacy Contact

If you have questions, concerns, or complaints regarding the processing of your personal information, contact:
